As a part of the growth strategy of the Benteler Steel/Tube, various markets were investigated to see where the products would most likely be relevant. The results show that increasing sales and market potential in the USA can be expected. Therefore we decided to establish a hot rolling tube mill with new and sophisticated manufacturing technology along with several finishing lines for the production of seamless tube solutions in the U.S. in Shreveport-Bossier, Northwest Louisiana.

The groundbreaking on our new facility is scheduled for the spring 2013. Completion and facilitating are planned for the 2nd half of 2015. The facility will create more than 1,000 construction jobs and 675 full time jobs when at full capacity. We are proud to partner with the state of Louisiana and Shreveport-Bossier and looking forward to a long lasting and fruitful partnership!
